How to Find Us - S33 0BR

To find us - S33 0BR for The Peak Park Conservation Centre in the Hope Valley you need to find Thornhill Village. Thornhill Village has a postcode of S33 0BR. Putting S33 0BR in your satnav or using your postcode in Google maps (on your right) you will not find us exactly, but the centre of Thornhill village which you don't want as we are on the southern edge of the village, so keep an eye open for our entrance sign and the following will help you...

If you are approaching The PeakParkCC from Manchester or Sheffield on the A57, at the traffic lights by the Ladybower dams you need to cross the viaduct on the A6013 heading for Bamford. Keep going for less than a mile and you will go past the Yorkshire Bridge Inn and some stone built houses on your right, at the end of them you will see the sign to turn right for Thornhill.
Turn right down Lydgate Lane to a narrow bridge at the bottom, turn left over it onto Carr Lane. Follow Carr Lane up into Thornhill village till you see an old RED Telephone box were you Satnav will tell you to turn right up Thornhill Lane - ignore it! Turn left down Thornhill lane passed the red telephone box on your right and past the last house on your right, the next entrance on your left is clearly signed as the Peak Park Conservation Centre (see picture below).


If your satnav has directed you from Hathersage along the A6187 you will go over a bridge and past the Hope valley garden centre on you right, the next direction sign will be a right turn up Thornhill Lane for Thornhill.

As you are coming up Thornhill Lane over the railway bridge onto the flat past Water Lane on your right, you will start to climb the hill again, as you climb the hill you will pass a large house on your right in the trees called Brookdean take the next entrance after it on your right clearly signed as the Peak Park Conservation Centre (see picture above).

If you come to a house on your left you have gone past us!


Now all you have to do is come along the track to the gates. If you are in a vehicle you will need the code for the metal gate. If you have foot bashed or pedal pushed there is a wooden pedestrian gate with a slide bolt (see picture below). Please keep gates closed at all times
